Alumnae Crown Chapter Award
The Alumnae Crown Chapter Award is given for attainment of the minimum standard of chapter excellence for each year of the biennium. The National Vice Presidents Alumnae recommend chapters to National Council, which selects the winners. A Chapter may receive a Crown Chapter Award by meeting all but two of the criteria listed below, providing the two missed are not in the same category. The following criteria have been adopted by National Council for the Alumnae Crown Chapter Award.

Membership
1. In addition to meeting the membership requirements, the group should attain a
10 percent increase in membership yearly. If this is not possible because all
alumnae in the community are members, the group will still qualify.

Finances
1. Meet all financial responsibilities to the Fraternity in a timely manner.
2. Contribute to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation with a significant gift at or above Major Donor status during at least one year of the biennium.

Collegiate Support
- 1. When there is a local collegiate chapter:
- a) Provide a functioning and cooperative Advisory Board, House Association or House Corporation.
- b) Provide assistance with membership recruitment and other collegiate activities.
- c) Hold a minimum of three alumnae-collegiate activities per year.
- d) Have a functioning Reference Board or Key Woman who sends voluntary references and processes requests for Membership Information Sheets.
- 2. When there is not a local collegiate chapter:
- a) Have a functioning Reference Board or Key Woman who sends voluntary references and processes requests for Membership Information Sheets from a collegiate chapter.
- b) Provide a minimum of one alumnae-collegiate activity with local collegiate members and/or their mothers or parents.
- c) Adopt a collegiate chapter through gifts, notes and visits.

Programming
1. Sponsor a minimum of one activity per year to increase the public's awareness of our goals and purposes, and to build a favorable attitude toward Zeta Tau Alpha. These activities could be in one or more of the following areas: leadership, service, community project, etc.
2. Maintain active membership and representation in the local alumnae Panhellenic.
3. Offer relevant and coordinated chapter programming.

Fraternity Operations
1. Meet all requirements of a club, chapter, association or federation as listed in the Guide for Alumnae.
2. Maintain cooperative and regular contact with the District President.
3. Exhibit a positive attitude of cooperation with the Fraternity.
4. Submit complete, accurate and timely reports.
5. Abide by all policies of the Fraternity as stated in the General Manual, the Constitution & Bylaws of Zeta Tau Alpha, the Guide for Alumnae and updates as distributed by International Office.
6. Assist with Zeta Day when hosted in the area and provide support with attendance and publicity.
